I got a vox invite, so I created Pretty Shiny. I'm kind of on new tool overload lately, what with vox and flock and preloadr.... So far I like flock, although the not-keeping-your-category thing is a huge pain in the butt. Vox seems quite well-done. I'm curious to see if any of the easy-ness of vox made it into the MT3.3 release. Preloadr is a cool idea, but I haven't used it much yet. I hope they give me some vox invites soon so I can have some friends ;-)
Well, it's not a disease, unless you count that it's sort of addictive, and they definitely have the viral marketing thing going on with the invites ;-)
Vox is a new hosted blogging platform--it's where I set up Pretty Shiny. The idea is that it's very easy to incorporate the goodies like pictures, links, lists of books, etc. Plus it has a community aspect, so you can do the friend/family thing, even down to who can see which posts. I'm not convinced of the killer-ness of that particular feature, but we'll see.
You'll be one of the first getting an invite from me, whenever they show up, so be prepared :-)
